NCHA announces a change from the National Circuit Program (NCP) to the International Circuit Program (ICP).
Fort Worth, TX — January 10, 2026 — The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is proud to announce an exciting change: the National Circuit Program (NCP) has officially been renamed the International Circuit Program (ICP). This update reflects the program’s continued growth and the increase in both international members and shows across the globe.
The NCHA’s International Circuit Program is designed to welcome and support all NCHA members in the time-honored Western lifestyle and sport of cutting—regardless of members’ economic status, stage of life, or level of experience. Built on a foundation of accessible, affordable, and locally hosted NCHA-sanctioned weekend events, the program offers every member a clear path for growth and success. Competitors can advance within their local circuit, qualify for the year-end circuit championship show, and ultimately earn a spot at the prestigious International Circuit Championship event. Within the ICP, the International Circuit Championships (ICC) serves as the pinnacle event. As the most prestigious competition in the program, the ICC will continue to showcase the world’s top cutting horse competitors and celebrate the sport’s expanding international reach.
“The transition from a national to an international designation is a direct reflection of the dedication and enthusiasm of our members worldwide,” said Jay Winborn, Executive Director. “We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate the sport’s growing international presence through this change.”
